So, yesterday turned out to be a cracker... An unplanned trip, joining friends at Portrush, for the airshow!

After a bit of drizzle in the morning, the afternoon was gorgeous! Just perfect for a walk along the coast, watching the amazing acrobatics of various aircraft - from gliders to super sonic monsters!!

The mandatory chippy was enjoyed, as well as dinky donuts (ya just gotta..!) plus we had a stroll around the Airwaves Portrush Artisan Market, hosted by the Naturally North Coast and Glens - a not for profit organisation and platform for local artists.

We had the pleasure of meeting a number of talented artists and artisans...

We treated ourselves to some yummy handmade soap from Laurie at The Soap Shack << her Facebook Biz page if you want a nosey. My friend decided on the scrumptious Mango & Pineapple... just what it says "on the tin" - and I went for the "Herby Hand Scrub" with lemongrass, bergamot and pumice along the top... delicious!

We also met the super talented Deirdre of Yellow Flower Crafts << wander over to the website.

I have seen many "painted glasses" but these pieces of art go above and beyond! I particularly liked the snowdrops and her "winter berries" (pictured). Check out Deirdre's original paintings plus champagne flutes, vases and candle holders as well as Natural Bee & Soy Wax Candles.... beautiful !! If you are on Facebook, you can visit her biz page here.

Finally, we met the lovely Siobhan of Celtic Leather Art << Facebook page if you want to have a look-see. The smell of leather from her stall was just gorgeous and feeling her leather handmade creations in the flesh was a delight!

Siobhan is one of 30 small biz folk who will be joining us at the Yard for... something very special next month... keep your peepers peeled for that !

We slept well last night...
