Reclaimed Cable Spool Mirror

Smoothed by hand, the recycled cable spool timber was treated to a colour wash of ebony stain, followed by jacobean dark oak wax to seal.
Complete with natural knots as well as nail holes and cracks - all of which contribute to the shabby chic look of this piece.

Given a new lease of life, the Rekindled Way, this will look stunning in any space.

Reclaimed Timber and Driftwood Large Mirror

This piece was created with reclaimed ceiling joist, smoothed by hand to leave the existing dips and gouges in the timber, for a truly rustic finish. A piece of driftwood, from the Antrim coast, was added to offer a truly unique and tactile piece of character furniture. Ready to hang or as a freestanding mirror.

Sealed with boiled linseed and teak oil mix to nourish and seal the wood, while highlighting the gorgeous grain.

This piece was created with reclaimed ceiling joist, shaped by hand to offer a truly unique and tactile piece of character furniture. Ready to hang or as a freestanding mirror. Sealed with stripped pine wax to nourish and seal the wood, while highlighting the gorgeous grain.

Reclaimed Timber Handmade Heart Mirrors

Shaped by hand from reclaimed ceiling joist, Mr RY used his trust chisels to carve the timber for extra character. For the first mirror shown, Mr RY used pyrography to highlight the grain.

Finished with wax polish, to seal and protect the wood.

Reclaimed Pallet and Driftwood Mirror

Reclaimed pallet pieces, fixed together to create this abstract shape and very finely sanded, to leave the rough shapes. Finished with two pieces of Antrim Coast driftwood at each side of the mirror and sealed with wax to protect the wood. Reclaimed scaffold planks were recycled to create this extra large mirror as a focal point in the living room.

Shaped and smoothed by hand to add character, with a choice piece of Antrim Coast Driftwood.

Knotted Sea Grass Wide Mirror

The frame was shaped from recycled redwood, smoothed and sealed with Light Oak wood dye and sealed with wax. Sea Grass was hand braided to create the hanging; leaving chunky, decorative knots.

The end result is a fine piece of decorative furniture, full of rustic charm.

Reclaimed Timber "Burned" XL Mirror

This piece was created with reclaimed redwood scaffold planks, shaped by hand to offer a truly unique and tactile piece of character furniture. Mr RY first smoothed the timber, added character using a blowtorch, then carved by hand to reveal the natural timber in places. Sealed with stripped pine wax to nourish the wood, then highlighted with jacobean dark oak wax to show off the gorgeous grain. Finally, buffed to a shiny finish - this piece is ready to hang or as a freestanding mirror.

Custom Photo Frames

These frames were created especially for an RY customer, to fit odd sized photographs, who wanted a natual and weathered look to the timber, like driftwood, with a smooth yet unique finish. Mr RY shaped the frames from pine and gave them more character and shaping with his trusy chisel, retaining the natural cracks and imperfections in the timber. Smoothed by hand and finished with neutral bees wax.

Custom "Big Love" Heart Mirror

This piece was created by recycling a pine headboard - smoothed by hand, before Mr RY's trusty chisel got to work.

Commissioned as a special gift to a couple, recreating the lettering by freehand, that they had on a sign from their wedding day.

Finished with a light coat of jacobean dark oak wax to seal and highlight the beautiful grain.
