Jewellery Box

This piece was specially commissioned as a birthday gift and created using a combination of timbers: redwood, oak and rosewood. The initial K was hand engraved using pyrography along with a decorative border. With two drawers and 3 upper compartments for gems or nik-naks.

"Man Box F"

Commissioned for Fin's Birthday, his Dad wanted something chunky and personalised - yet useful for storage. Personalised with a decorative initial on the lid, engraved by hand, using pyrography. Additional wording was engraved on the inside of the lid - chosen lyrics - for that personal touch. With two butterfly hinges to affix the lid, the decorative storage box was finished with a sturdy metal closing and a chain to support the lid, plus metal lattice incorporated for decoration. Additional metal work was added to the sides for extra stability and decoration... as well as to offer a more "manly" look!

Fused Timber Trinket Box "E"

This unique piece was handmade by fusing two different timbers to create the layered style. With two butterfly hinges to affix the lid, the decorative storage box was finished with an antique style closing. The celtic border and letter was engraved by hand using pyrography then sealed with lashings of danish oil. top & bottom layer: 100 year old Oak from Belfast's Harland & Wolff, centre layer: Asian Keuring timber

RY's boxes and chests are handmade from reclaimed timber, retaining the "eco-friendly" ethos, along with bespoke freehand engraving.

All prices below include an engraved border or chiseled shaping of the box lid.

As each box is designed and created to suit the intended use, this price guide is for boxes up to these dimensions but can of course be made to specific size/shape requirements, as required.

Memory Box

Commissioned especially as a gift for a young lad to keep his treasured memories of Dad. Mr RY used his faithful chisel to add character to edges of the lid, to create the unique style.

With two butterfly hinges to affix the lid, the decorative storage box was finished with a metal hook closing. Additional metal work was added to the corners for extra stability and decoration. The celtic style lettering was engraved by hand on the lid, using pyrography.

Storage Chest

This piece was commissioned as a 5th Anniversary gift for a husband to store "manly stuff" - including watches & cufflinks.

Sanded and smoothed by hand, the solid oak timber is embellished with metal decorative pieces and clasp. Inside - a deep storage area plus removable, sectioned tray for those smaller items.

Fused Timber Trinket Box "M"

Fusing three timbers to create the layered and more unique look for this personalised gift, especially commissioned for M's birthday, from her partner. With two butterfly hinges to affix the lid, the decorative storage box was finished with a metal hook closing. Personalised with a "gothic daisy" letter, engraved by hand, using pyrography.

Timber used: base: Pitch Pine, box: Rosewood, lid: Oak

Couple's Keepsake Box

Commissioned for a christmas gift, this keepsake box was personalised with initials and engraved by hand, using pyrography. The main body of the box was made from solid oak, with a beautiful Sapele (mahogany) lid - finished in boiled linseed oil to highlight the stunning colours in both timbers. With simple, steel hinges to affix the lid, the decorative storage box was finished with a subtle scoop for easy opening.
